As part of the 60th Year Celebration Fern Bay Public School will commence an Alumni Association for our former students
Former students will receive a yearly newsletter with profiles of school and student achievements.

Alumni and schools
From Prime Ministers to Premiers, Oscar winners to Olympic gold medallists , Nobel Prize winners to Australians of the Year, Supreme Court judges, business leaders and artists, there are many eminent citizens whose paths began at a NSW public school.
Public schools should be proud of and celebrate their Alumni. Especially for primary schools, tracking ex-students can be tricky. This is why the Department of Education is encouraging all schools to have a database and tracking method for their Alumni.
It can be motivating for students to know they are following in the footsteps of a successful person, and that the same opportunities are available to them.
Who we will highlight
It would be great if our school had a Hollywood megastar or an Australian cricket captain within its Alumni, but all types of role models should be listed. CEOs, business leaders, business owners, successful professionals, high profile charity workers, basically anyone that can be seen as a role model to our students will be included.
